The modernization of the existing vineyards and the implementation of the new plantings aim to obtain the best quality from organically-grown grapes. The existing spur pruning system was converted to Guyot, while we chose the ancient traditional Calabrian training method for the new vines: the”alberello”, used with high plant density (about 10,000 plants per hectare) – a method that is unfortunately being abandoned yet produces higher quality grapes.
